Okay, this is not a nudist community. So what is this blog about?
December 1, 2007 by StephanThe Naked Social is our attempt to gather, analyze and share the facts behind the myths surrounding social web applications based on platforms like Facebook’s Developer Platform or those part of Google’s OpenSocial.
Social web applications have become all the rage since the announcement and launch of Facebook’s platform, followed by Google’s OpenSocial promising the same level of integration for the rest of the web. This new breed of applications is definitely one of the most exciting developments on the web. However, the same questions and discussions seem to come up again and again. As most of us are still grappling to understand the implications and potential of these new technologies, the information available today is largely PR driven and based on speculation rather than facts and figures. Therefore, we decided to start this blog to collect and share actual data, facts and no less than the naked truth about social web applications.
If you are interested in understanding, developing or marketing social web applications, we hope to provide you with helpful data and insights. If you are actually involved and experienced in the field, even better: We’d be more than happy about you chiming in!
